Our trainee dispensing assistants provide excellent patient service through greeting and serving customers on the pharmacy counter and in the self-care retail area. They are responsible for ensuring appropriate sale of medicines in conjunction with the Pharmacist and for following all in-pharmacy procedures in order to maintain patient safety and integrity.
Our trainee dispensing assistants support the dispensary team, and may provide healthy-living services to patients if they have undertaken relevant training.
Ideally as a trainee dispenser you should already have you pharmacy counter assistants course, and you must agree to complete an NVQ2 within your first year previous experience is not essential as full training will be provided to the right candidate. However, the candidate must be educated to a reasonable standard in Higher Education. You should display a genuine empathy for patients and a friendly and approachable personality. You should be comfortable working within a skilled team and striving to meet business objectives.
You will be working Monday, Thursday and Friday each week to include early mornings, late evenings and weekends. And you must be flexible to cover holidays and sickness. Excellent rates of pay with 5 weeks holiday per year.
